Google Webmaster Tools From Your cPanel?

It certainly looks that way. According to Webmaster Central Blog web hosting providers can begin to use Google’s API for such purpose. Evidently several of the web hosing providers are already on board: iPOWER, StartLogic, PowWeb, and Strato.

The first web hosting provider to ever offer this sort of thing was Go Daddy.

Using the Google Webmaster Tools can be very beneficial in your efforts to make your website more visible on Google. It provides some very important statistics along with potential problems a website may have that may prevent it from being regularly crawled and indexed.

  1. I sat in on Google’s Webmaster Tools discussion at HostingCon this year. I thought it was a disappointing presentation but on the flip side it did give us a good indication of what Google was working on releasing.

One of the questions a few of us poised was will the tools be integrated into cPanel, Plesk or any other control panel. At the time they had no tools to implement this, however with the API now available its great to see this post.

Does anyone have a demo cPanel account to review and see what it looks like (screenshots would work too)?
