iPower so slow, and after install drupal 7, i have problems with DB.
resume – for normal and serious site not compatible
Absolutely horrible customer service.
If you try calling customer service for support I guarantee you’ll be on hold for over an hour, no matter when you call. I also had 2 erroneous credit card charges, and received no response from customer service to any of my emails. Had to change my credit card so they’d stop charging me.
Stay far away from these guys, it was a horrible experience.
Hey guys, be smart don’t use ipower hosting, why?, here are the reasons.
We sell software including scripts at cromosoft.com and we install it free of charge at our customers at their web servers(shared, VPs, dedicated), i’am wasting several hours configuring the shared PHP enviroment at ipower; first PHP sessions were disabled by default, second, several php functions fails(inside our scripts) and now i’am unable to send a simple email, i tried to use sendmail, smtp, all it fails, i’am not a guru configuring servers, i contacted their helpdesk and after of waiting several minutes “Rapheal Burke” only provided me two links to their knowledge base.
We preffer to provide temporal free hosting to our customers that waste more time configuring these cheap services at ipower.
But, if you are a guru and you like to spend your time learning why it doesn’t works, go ahead use ipower, this cheap hosting is a scam.
Terrible tech support, offshore, long waits, useless people. They just drop your site with no warning, then charge an outrageous fee to restore your site. Stay away from these people.
iPower is powerless, they suck. Total outtage today and can’t get an answer from anywhere. I’m starting to think they are folding. I’m guessing they don’t pay their bills and have been cut off, so who cares about us little venders who provide services based on ipowers sucky service. I’m moving to Hostgator as we speak. If you use iPower, I hope you do manual daily backups because they wipped out 10 sites on my account, then replaced them with way outdated backups they had somewhere.
As soon as I can access my account, I’m outta there.
I’ve been an ipower customer for the past 3-4 years, and lately my site is constantly down. Either it’s completely down for hours at a time, or it randomly throws Internal Server Errors. I’m looking for a replacement ASAP.
I have had tons of issues with these guys. None as severe as many of the people I have read here. Most of my issues have been related to them changing things around without notifying us. I also had an issue where we had a domain that we purchased through them and I needed it transfered over to a high-profile individual. They made it so difficult to make the transfer that I swore them off after the ordeal.
They had horrible customer service, I often times had to wait for over an hour to talk with anyone. The only good thing about them was the waiting music.
I zinged iPower a while back because of uptime issues but it appears all is well. The sites up 99-100% with no problems.
The worst webhost in the world, by far. Regardless of how cheap it is, they would have to pay me to use them.
