I have used Omnis for myself and several clients. As more and more of the sites I design and develope are database driven, it is evidenced that my website speed is EXTREMELY slow. Customer service is curt but they usually offer some help. I prefer the chat option to contact them, when called they do sound interrupted.

Been using omnis for many years now with many clients. Yes their customer service reps can sometime be short and “rude”…but they ALWAYS fix my problems! The few that ARE rude are just that…rude people. When I get the specific one that most here are complaining about…I just call back anf get someone else.

I love omnis. I have been using them for a few years now. I have also recommended them to my web clients. I must have had over 20+ sites on their servers.

I have never, ever had a problem.

There are plenty of features. New accounts are easy to create. And, the price seems reasonable.

Their support is horrible. The only host worse is Dreamhost

I’m a web developer and I’ve been using Omnis for several years. I have also referred most of my clients to Omnis for several years now. Lately however, I have been contemplating on migrating to another hosting service. Omnis has given me plenty of reasons to do so. To name a few: customer service has gone from fair to poor. Phone calls for support are never returned. Technical Support are unprofessional and sometimes outright rude. They have repeatedly failed to credit my account for my referrals which they promote.

We were referred to Omnis by our web developer, and it was a business mistake making the transfer. We were assured that with their “back-up systems” and 24-hour attention to issues that our website would never go down or experience problems. We consistently have issues with our email not sending or receiving, thanks to our Omnis host, and lose business by the hour when for some reason all of their “back-up” systems fail to do their job. Our website speed is extremeley slow, and random pages will sporadically not be found or are able to be pulled up. Omnis’ customer service never has any answers, and simply responds to all of our concerns as “I don’t know when it will be fixed. You can escalate it but I don’t know blah blah.” All of the reps sound like they are about 17 years old and asleep on the phone. We’ve tried escalating the issues before, and low and behold receive no response. Needless to say, we are looking into other hosting options.

I’ve used Omnis for many clients and like their hosting and plans. However, customer service is definitely NOT their strong suit. Though they send a ticket number for every emailed question, my questions and contact attempts often go unanswered. When I contact support via telephone, I often get bad attitude and short answers.

In summary: Omnis is great if you don’t need to contact them.
